Not the first gold plated SMG but what is that huge gold disc/dish for? That's not HK equipment.

Why can't I be a dictator of an oil rich country. Put me in power and I will only continue to keep the people in fear and poverty, but I will get rid of all the chemical weapons.

After seeing all the TACKY crap in those palaces I'm beginning to think Elvis might actually be alive and living in the middle east someplace.

So what's the 4" gold circular disc just under the trigger?

Momma always told me, "Tacky is as tacky does."

Ya gotta turn it over--it's a funky fine HK medallion which reads "In a World of Compromise, Some Don't--Fool!"

Ya wear it over a rhinestoned flak vest with a shirt half-buttoned over it.

Give me two days with it and I'll melt the gold plating off of it one magazine at a time.:D

As with all such 'modifications' to guns, I must ask:

Q) How, exactly, does the gold plating make it shoot better?

A) It doesn't you say?

Oh. Then that means Saddam is dumb.

Gold is the most corrosion-resistant metal, AFAIK. The plating was done for purely practical reasons. I'm sure. :D

The reason behind all these gold plated guns, is that in the middle east and arabic countries, there is a long history of giving gifts.
Especially golden knifes and swords.
This has translated into giving firearms.
It is usually not something for shooting with, but for showing that you are serious about your business relationship.

I know I would like if people I come in contact with would give me guns to seal a deal.

Yes, give me guns. No, don't gold-plate them, I'll just have the gold on the side, thank you very much.
