I went to the gun show Saturday, and they had a Saiga 12 gauge. It was one of several guns that really wanted to come home with me, but I don't have any money in the kitty right now to buy another gun. It looks like a neat gun and costs a lot less than most other autoloading shotguns. Anybody ever used one?

Do a search for Saigas in this forum. Lots of us have them, and have posted reviews.
I'm a distributor for Russian American Armory. I sell piles of Saigas. www.fbmginc.com

The only bad thing about them is mags are expensive and tough to find. Hopefully someone makes a US made mag soon and that wont be a problem.
I waited on buying one for almost a year, but finally found a deal on a converted s-12 I couldnt pass up. Its an awesome gun, I just need more mags now.

clange, there are 3 domestic manufacturers working on S12 mags. I've got several hundred on order. :) There's going to be a 10 shot polymer box mags based on the LE imports, a sheet metal 10 shot mag, and Tapco announced theirs at SHOT.

Awesome news as always, Corr.
Do we need to have our Saigas converted to count as "domestic" shotguns before we go using 10-rd mags for them?

Yeah, I know. I've been following them the whole way, I'm just impatient.

My recently purchased S12 has been one of the best uses of cash I can think of. This is a lot of gun for the money.
Mine hasn't gotten me kicked off the trap range yet. Maybe some hi-caps will help. Heh-heh-heh.
