If you go to this site you will see one of the original 1851 Navy Colt's for sale that was carried by the Baltimore Police and the history behind it. Seems there are only a few left in existence. Kinda like the history of New York police, totally unarmed as the people feared what came to pass; An armed occupation force. Liked the Draft Riots, people had a bit more spirit those days, liberty was a serious business.
