Shotgun shell chair

I found this on BoingBoing (http://boingboing.net/) -- a fun use for shotgun shells.

"This is designer Alexander Reh's "Fully Loaded" chair. It's made from more than 450 12-gauge shotgun shells. "The bright brass tips create a massaging texture on the top of the chair, much to the contrary of their intended use," he writes. Along the same lines, here's (http://www.boingboing.net/2005/08/10/shotgun_shell_vase.html) a previous post about a shotgun shell vase."

Uhhhhmmmm....................

Ya might want to make sure that those are EMPTY HULLS before sitting in said chair. . . . . . :p :D and be SURE your pockets hold nothing metallic & pointy

Interesting concept, though. Maybe take one of those to one of the more [ahem] "liberal" beach areas...just be sure you position the umbrella properly...that brass could 'brand' you if it was in the direct sun for a while.:cuss:

That might break me of the habit of keeping nails in my back pockets.:D

Winchester Red does not really go with my decor.

Remington Green would be match up better, Peters Blue Magic would work in another room.

I understand forum member Spinner could use TwentyGauge-Yellow. Mrs. Spinner did a room in yellow...:p

Fiocchi Lilac - now that would be great for some ladies...

Darn it, Cheney has dibbs on the first 28 ga chair. Federal dark red would blend in with the red in the couch here...

Kid's chairs made of .410s...make 'em a kid's table too. That would give some day-care centers a hissy fit...

Imagine show and tell and your kid donating one of these and the kid explaining how he shot shotguns and assisted in making this thing...

Michael Moore has a problem, not that many spent 8 ga out there to make his custom chair....

Only thing needed is a matching Ottoman - prop them feet up and keep the family from getting into YOUR cases of new 28 ga shells.

I'll chip in $5 toward sending one of these to Brady ...

I build rustic furniture for a living, and a long time ago I made a "Tactical" chair for friend. I don’t have any pictures of it but the back legs were old, cracked 1903 Springfield rifle stocks, the backrest was made out of fired linked M-60 blanks and the front legs were capped with fired M-40 grenade shells. I wove the seat from 1" O.D. Green cotton strapping. This was back in late '78 and was my first attempt at building "art" furniture.

Come right in! Pull up a skeet!

He probably did it for the hull of it. Bet it costs a wad-I know the price would put a crimp in my lifestyle.

what would be cool would be a frame with however many holes...."owner must provide actual empty hulls"
