Sorry about the two posts I meant for it to be one but the fat enter finger got in the way and I can't seem to find the option to add a poll to an existing post.

Right now I'm happy with slate calls, but I may branch out this season.

I have several custom box and glass pot calls but with the two box calls by Albert Paul (Paul's Calls) even I can sound like a turkey.

Good shooting and be safe.

Slate call for the most part and mouth diaphram when the birds are in close.

Those push button box calls seem like the easiest. I've hunted TWICE for turkey in my life, so I'm not dedicated to learning all the methods and I had success with that push button thing. Worked like a charm. I'd rather learn to use those mouth reeds so I didn't have to make movements, but I gag on those things, never got to the point of actually blowing with one trying to make it work 'cause I gag it back up.

I have a buddy that mounted a push button on his shotgun just forward of where he rests his hand. That way if the bird hangs up you can still activate the call without alot of movement. Also, he isnt a big fan of reed calls either for the gag reason.
