I'll log in, enter password, get welcomed, browse a bit, decide to post, and be told that I am NOT logged in. A couple of times I have re-logged at the prompting on screen, written a post, and then be told AGAIN that I was not logged in when I hit "submit".
I am by no means comfortable with computers, and new to this whole forum
membership thing, so if I am missing something blindingly obvious, please fill me in. I find THR to be addictive, and hope I get better at it soon. Thank you.

You are probably not checking the "Remember Me" box on the sign in window. Try doing that and see what happens.

Apart from LHB's suggestion - it is sometimes worth clearing your cookie cache.
