Fellow shooters:

I am a professional pyrotechnician by hobby, I love my fireworks and explosives, and I love shooting. After months of trial and error I've learned how to combine the two to create quite a bit of fun up at the firing range: EXPLOSIVE TARGETS!
Now, I've put together a booklet on how you can make your own explosive targets! These things are a hell of a lot of fun to shoot and much more exciting than shooting cans or bottles at any range! There are some dramatic pics and both streaming and a downloadable (7+meg) movie file. These targets are pyrotechnic in nature, easy and safe to make provided you use due care and caution. Visit the site, take a look at the videos and then order the book, you'll be glad you did! Shooting at paper targets will never be the same...

I didn't look at your sight but I take a 16 oz coke cap. Add a little black powder, the heads of about 25 strike anywhere matches. Cover it with the small self adhesive shoot and see target dot and put a little double sided tape on the back. They are small but that is what makes them fun.

The guy at the station beside me was firing his revolver at the target which was about 25 to 35 feet away. I didn't pay any attention to him. Until he hit the 2X2 wooden block of explosive that he had affixed to his target. It was one hell of a BOOM! I hit the floor, flashed back~the floor turned to mud and the concrete around me turned to elephant grass. This one didn't last long.
