Longbow:

According to the Guntraders Guide, the Win 61 in excellant condition, is listed @ $595.00. That is the round bbl. Octagon bbl is listed as $1,295.00. The Octagon bbl was discontinued in 1943-44.

Battle of the gun books :) Just for the heck of it. John

Last year's 23rd edition Blue Book:

Model 61, 100% = $700. Add 50% for single caliber barrel marking, 30% for grooved receiver and 200% for smoothbore.

Model 61 Octagon barrel, 98% = $1800, add 30% for .22 Short.

The 61 and 62 pumps, and the 63 semi-auto have all been collector items since, I dunno, the mid- to late-1970s.

The sad thing about the collector-pricing is that most of them are really great shooters. Hard to feel good about paying such prices for something that's "just a good ol' .22".

Thanks guys! Now I know that if I see one for $200, I'll jump on it! :)
But...Nah! I really don't wanna be a collector, I want guns that I can shoot, not just to look at.
