hi guys,

i have a ton of internal parts for an old colt auto. there are enough, i believe, to build two of them. i think they are from the 1908 pocket hammerless.

i'd like to know for certain what they go to and what they would be worth to a collector/gunsmith.

once i know for sure what they are and their fair value, i will post them in the classifieds at a very fair price. they are doing me no good and i'm sure someone could use them.

i'd love it if someone has a nice older(60s-70s)4" blued Python they would like to get rid of using these parts as part of the payment.

here's a pic:

I'm not sure what they'd be worth considering that there are many of these things available. Colt made hundreds of thousands of these up to WWII as well as the 1903. The value in the old colt vest pocket autos are the unique grips, original grips, and all original pieces.

I disagree... :what:

While there are a lot of 1903 (.32) and 1908 (.380) Colt Pocket Automatics around, there are also a lot of them that need to be restored, and the parts do have some value - in particular, the barrels if they have good bores.

mick53:

Go to the following link: www.e-gunparts.com

Look up the Colt 1903/1908 and they have an exploded view drawing by which you can identify what exactly your parts are (grip safeties. recoil springs, etc.)

Then look up those parts on the same site and see what they're selling for.

Then total the result and see where you are at. Your parts are worth at least the same. :)

Put them on gunbrooker.com and see it there is a intrest. If that doesn't work gunpartscorp should buy them.
