Just finalized my order through the group buy here on THR.

Now, a couple of questions.

1. Break-in period, if any? How long, how much ammo, what kind of ammo?
2. Recommended additions? I'm getting a basic Fobus holster and mag pouch. I've got cleaning supplies. I was thinking maybe some of the Novak mags from the CDNN catalog....
3. Any *special* care needed for a new handgun?

Both of my Springer 1911's got fed about 250 rounds of the Famous USA Brand (AKA Winchester White Box) before using anything else.

After that, testing with 25 rounds of my preferred Homeland Security Ammo...Rem 230-Gr Golden Sabre.

Both of mine (Champion and the GI-45) work with anything I have fed them, EXCEPT for A-MERC (American Ammo out of Miami, FL...not to be confused with Federals American Eagle brand.)

They have even worked with {GASP!} Wolf ammo.
