Double Star is the name that J&T Distributing (http://www.jtdistributing.com/) uses for their complete rifles. Should be pretty decent rifles if they share the same upper components.

Haven't heard much about them. I will say that if JT builds them then JT will definitely back up their warranty. JT has been in the industry for some time now selling AR kits and other misc military weapons parts. They are one of the better known and trusted.

Only time will tell on how well they will be accepted. With so many brand name ARs available on the market for reasonable prices I can't see why they would want to venture into that area.

I checked the Centerfire Systems website and they are priced about the same as the competitors, approx $699 for a rifle.

If JT makes them...well, lets look at the math here.

JT Kit $449.00 plus $15 shipping
Centerfire Lower $100 plus $5 ship/$25.00 for your dealer.

$589.00 for a rifle and 30 minutes of easy work vs $699.00.

I'm guessing the difference is split between paying off our Govt in FET and profit for the company.

I just built a 16" A3 with a kit from JT Distributing and the Doublestar Receiver from Centerfire. The upper and lower match perfectly, and is a coal black AR.

I saved at least $400 from buying the same rifle from Bushmaster. I highly recommend it.
