Can one load rifle rounds with a Rock Chucker Master Reloading Kit or is it limited to only handgun reloading? Thanks for any help.

The only thing that you cant load on it is 50bmg. All single stage are basically the same. The only thing that restricts some of the pregressive presses is the length of the stroke of the arm. It is not a problem with singlestages. Go ahead and load anything you want. If you havent bought the kit yet dont pay more than about 260.

Sure, it'll handle most of them. It may not be able to take some of the very long cartridges like a .50 BMG, but anything equal to or less than a .458 will fit.

I think that they upgraded the rock chucker to the Super RC in my last midway catalog it listed the super RC only.

it states that the super RC can handle the longer rifle rounds now, and the press is still $110, 250 for the kit IIRC.

WHat about a RCBS turret press, $35 more than the rock chucker, and it uses tool heads rather than single dies that have to be changed and reset.

I think the only "pistol only" press is the Square Deal B from dillon.
The rockchuker is almost overkill for a press, but you'll sure never kill it.:)
Heck of a press.!

SASS,

Beg to differ, I may not have "killed" my first RC; but, I did wear it out. However, RCBS replaced it with a new one after I sent them the old one. I had it about 25 years and loaded who knows how many rounds on it. Also it produced an untold number of swaged bullets including 20 guage slugs. I have not seen the need to "upgrade" to a progressive.

Hey KP95DAO,

Can I assume you are Roy? If so, good to see you again! However, I have to tell you that you are one tough guy to wear out a Chucker in 25 years. I have had mine over thirty years, and it is still as sound as when it was new. I never did any swaging on mine however, and I would assume that can really amount to some serious work on the machine.

How is the powder blending going? While I still have not done any, I have referred a few interested folks to you for some good information in the past year. Has anyone else actually contacted you and said that I sent them? I still get E-Mail information from you every so often, and I thank you. Once again, it's good to see you on the forum again.

Best wishes,
Dave Wile
