Publicly-owned gun companies?

Being ever curious, are there any firearms companies that are traded publicly? My brief survey of U.S. companies seems to indicate that they are all privately-owned. Has this always been the case, and are things different with European gun manufacturers?

Bringing a company public is a good way of raising R&D capital, and domestic innovation in firearms has been kinda dismal since Eugene Stoner. All the cool toys are made in Germany these days. :D

Ruger trades on NYSE as RGR, S&W's holding company trades on AMEX as SWB. There are probably others.

Good question, I didn't know there were any gun companies who were publicly owned. I would love to buy some stock in CZ.

Ruger: RGR
Smith&Wesson: SWB
Winchester: OLN
Speer/Federal/RCBS/Outers/etc: ATK
Remington: used to be Du Pont, but its private now. RACI Acquisitions bought it from Du Pont in 1993.
