There's a big, black PU around here whose tag reads "50 BMG". Way cool...

i've always wanted CCW 247 or the reverse but i have a feeling it's taken. the plus is that it looks like a normal plate to a non gunny.

I've thought the plate "UZI 4U" was funny when I saw it on Burt Gummer's SUV in the movie Tremors, but since I prefer to keep a lower profile with my vehicle (no bumper stickers, for example) I figure a gun-related vanity plate might not be the best idea.

On of the regulars at the range has "US 45ACP" and another has "DUKHNTR" .

I've seen one here in Pa that read "45 Gov".

There's a rig around here with '45ACP', but I cannot remember what it is.

I would be tempted to get one, but I fall into the "don't advertise" camp. I am amused when I see them, wouldn't mind having one, but given my luck, it just isn't a good idea.

My cousin has "BMBIKLR". I've got Veteran plates and Illinois won't let you personalized those. I wanted to get "8IDMECH" - 8th Infantry Division (MECHanized).

I did see "APFSDS" once (Amour Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot).

Not to many gun plates in and around Chicago......:rolleyes:

I am torn between the vets plate or getting a personlized plate with RUGRGUY on it. I wonder if they would allow it in Washington? I know they cannot be "offensive" or "Contrary to the Department's mission to promote highway safety".

I don't have any gun related material on my truck...........Every once in awhile I see a license plate like those posted. The Texas State Rifle Assoc has their own plates. I may get one when I move to the country in a year or so.....chris3

One guy in michigan has one that says "M1911A1" Also, I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I have seen a bunch of them that say "UMP", or "SMG" followed by 3 random numbers.

Our local gunsmith/dealer has "45 COLT" on his car.

This is in California too :D

I think I remember seeing one that said "SIG552" or some such...
Can't remember exactly.
I thought it was way cool, at the time, regardless. ^.^

a class III dealer that i go to for gunsmithing chores and ammo has a plate that reads "BELTFED."

I reminded myself of a couple license plates I've seen:

308 FMJ
TSRA (Texas State Rifle Assc.)

I'd love to get a custom gun license plate, but I don't think a plate that said 45GAP would have the impact I'd like...

I have seen:

357-MAG (don't know if it was personalized or just not)
DSRTEGL
BRTTA92
and
WALTHER

When I had my Eclipse, the licens plate was USP45. When I ordered plates for my Avalanche, I specified 357 SIG. What I got was 957 ZIG. Not sure how that worked out, but I will try again in a few months when it is time to remew my plates.

I had thought about getting personalized license plates, but I'm in both the 'non-advertising' camp, as well as the 'don't-feed-the-government' camp.

Getting a gunnie vanity plate would violate both.
