gp911 March 9, 2006, 10:41 PM "7MM MAG"
I wouldn't mind "762X54R" on mine... :D
I know we just had a thread about pro-gun plates, but I just thought this one was cool...

Nashmack March 9, 2006, 10:46 PM At some point I plan on getting new plates that say "K98K"
Lennyjoe March 9, 2006, 11:15 PM Do you like mine?:D

old4x4 March 10, 2006, 12:15 AM There's a big, black PU around here whose tag reads "50 BMG". Way cool...
chopinbloc March 10, 2006, 12:43 AM i've always wanted CCW 247 or the reverse but i have a feeling it's taken. the plus is that it looks like a normal plate to a non gunny.
HankB March 10, 2006, 08:54 AM I've thought the plate "UZI 4U" was funny when I saw it on Burt Gummer's SUV in the movie Tremors, but since I prefer to keep a lower profile with my vehicle (no bumper stickers, for example) I figure a gun-related vanity plate might not be the best idea.
Hokkmike March 10, 2006, 08:58 AM Two that I have seen are:
GUN 1
and
GLOCKZ
Ireally like shooting and hunting etc., but I don't know if I'd want to advertise like that? (I am not saying it is wrong, I am just not sure)
shooting time March 10, 2006, 09:00 AM I have seen one here in Ga that says MP 5
JoeHatley March 10, 2006, 10:28 AM My Monte Carlo

My Colorado
http://www.iowatelecom.net/~hatley/sw45.jpg
On of the regulars at the range has "US 45ACP" and another has "DUKHNTR" .
Joe
dodge March 10, 2006, 10:39 AM I've seen one here in Pa that read "45 Gov".
Twycross March 10, 2006, 11:14 AM There's a rig around here with '45ACP', but I cannot remember what it is.
Red Tornado March 10, 2006, 11:33 AM Nice Lennyjoe,
It's not just a license plate, it's a security warning.

Lennyjoe March 10, 2006, 01:15 PM :D :D
Technosavant March 10, 2006, 01:33 PM I would be tempted to get one, but I fall into the "don't advertise" camp. I am amused when I see them, wouldn't mind having one, but given my luck, it just isn't a good idea.
bdutton March 10, 2006, 02:20 PM My plate:
100TENX
(For those not aware that is a perfect target in bullseye)
scout26 March 10, 2006, 02:27 PM My cousin has "BMBIKLR". I've got Veteran plates and Illinois won't let you personalized those. I wanted to get "8IDMECH" - 8th Infantry Division (MECHanized).
I did see "APFSDS" once (Amour Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot).
Not to many gun plates in and around Chicago......
PlayboyPenguin March 10, 2006, 04:27 PM I am torn between the vets plate or getting a personlized plate with RUGRGUY on it. I wonder if they would allow it in Washington? I know they cannot be "offensive" or "Contrary to the Department's mission to promote highway safety".
ball3006 March 10, 2006, 04:55 PM I don't have any gun related material on my truck...........Every once in awhile I see a license plate like those posted. The Texas State Rifle Assoc has their own plates. I may get one when I move to the country in a year or so.....chris3
1911JMB March 10, 2006, 04:58 PM One guy in michigan has one that says "M1911A1" Also, I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I have seen a bunch of them that say "UMP", or "SMG" followed by 3 random numbers.
Parke1 March 10, 2006, 09:38 PM Here's a crappy picture of mine I just snapped with my camera phone, since I seem to have misplaced the good picture I took on one of my computers...
I like it, even though 99% of the people around here have no idea what it means.

Dave Markowitz March 10, 2006, 10:34 PM I've seen "GARAND" in PA.
gezzer March 10, 2006, 10:35 PM Here's onehttp://pictures.firstbridge.net/riverside/trucks1.JPG
Black Majik March 10, 2006, 10:40 PM Our local gunsmith/dealer has "45 COLT" on his car.
This is in California too :D
mbs357 March 10, 2006, 10:43 PM I think I remember seeing one that said "SIG552" or some such...
Can't remember exactly.
I thought it was way cool, at the time, regardless. ^.^
chopinbloc March 10, 2006, 11:09 PM a class III dealer that i go to for gunsmithing chores and ammo has a plate that reads "BELTFED."
Cacique500 March 11, 2006, 02:05 PM http://www.1911pistolgrips.com/img/plate.jpg
DRZinn March 11, 2006, 02:30 PM Read that one with the blurb at the bottom....
Daniel T June 14, 2006, 04:10 PM Yes, I'm bumping a 3 month-old thread, but...
I reminded myself of a couple license plates I've seen:
308 FMJ
TSRA (Texas State Rifle Assc.)
XDKingslayer June 14, 2006, 04:13 PM I'd love to get a custom gun license plate, but I don't think a plate that said 45GAP would have the impact I'd like...
ruckus3008 June 14, 2006, 05:00 PM I have seen:
357-MAG (don't know if it was personalized or just not)
DSRTEGL
BRTTA92
and
WALTHER
220_Swift June 14, 2006, 05:09 PM When I had my Eclipse, the licens plate was USP45. When I ordered plates for my Avalanche, I specified 357 SIG. What I got was 957 ZIG. Not sure how that worked out, but I will try again in a few months when it is time to remew my plates.
Frohickey June 14, 2006, 06:05 PM I had thought about getting personalized license plates, but I'm in both the 'non-advertising' camp, as well as the 'don't-feed-the-government' camp.
Getting a gunnie vanity plate would violate both.
