If you have an itch for a .32 H&RM Single Six, check around for a 'deal'. Despite being in the recent '06 catalog, they are apparently 'gone'. A local 'pusher' has the bright SS white/short-gripped variant new for $299! All variants are fixed sight with a 4.6" barrel. I should get a SS black micarta BHG today... may get one of those white ones, too - next week. They should be 'fun', even if, as is typical for a fixed sight Ruger, they don't hit close to POA at any distance and with any ammo!

Anyone have experience fitting a Bisley-style hammer to one? Any general experience?

I had one (color case/rosewood), which I had to turn around and sell because the shortened grip frame felt so awkward in my hand. That missing 1/4" of grip length really makes a difference, unfortunately.

I wish Ruger had stuck with the dimensions of its original limited run of 500 .32 Baby Vaqueros, circa 2000. Those had the regular sized Single Six grip. See Jeff Quinn's review:

http://www.gunblast.com/Baby_Vaquero.htm The Baby Vaqs from that limited run now command a high price on the used market.

On the other hand, the little bird's-head grip versions from the more recent run look like a hoot. I should have gone with that configuration. The one you're getting (stainless/BHG/black micarta) is particularly fetching:

Snap one up before they're gone. Viva .32 H&R Magnum.
