I have been looking for some relatively inexpensive 30-30 ammunition to practice with. While at Academy Sports I saw they have an ammunition for the 30-30 priced at $6.86 a box of 20. It is made in the country of Serbia by a company named Monarch. The casing is NOT steel but rather brass. Does anyone here have any kind of experience with this ammo? Any opinions?

Nope. But I'd appreciate it if you'd buy some and give us a range report :D

Well, this is a republic, not a monarchy, so it might not shoot too well in our guns...

This ammo was designed for shooting Monarch butterflies. Very popular in California.:neener:

monarch is the name , the company is really jsc barnaul, russian made stuff, this is their higher end ammo made in serbia. Monarch is pretty much going to try and corner the ammo market in America. well , at least the most popular centerfire rounds, 30.06, 3030 243, 270 308 etc. i have been testing the 223 in my cz , and though i will not win any contests with it , it is minute of bunny. they make the same Monarch stuff you see in the light blue boxes of 223 and 762.39 thats like 2.50 a box at Academy.
