Sorry if this is the wrong area, if so feel free to move.

Anyway, lets see your hunting equipment. Only guns that you carry in the woods, fields, etc...

Me with my current favorite hunting rifle - yes I do use it in the field.

I make too much noise to ever get anything, anyway. Hunting for me is more about enjoying the outdoors.

EDIT

It's a FAL, if it is at all hard to tell.

i hunt w/ a new/different rifle every year - so i'll just put up last year's rifle. the picture was taken after deer 5 went down, and the gun and scope was brand new at the start of the year. i'm a little hard on gear, but this set up totalled out at 7 deer, including 2 bucks that cleared 225 pounds dressed (the biggest was a 5x6 whitetail that tickled 240 pounds dressed). this rifle/scope combo had a remarkable season, and the rifle earned the name of 'magic'. remington 700 adl in 300 win mag, talley lightweight mounts, and leupold 4.5-14.

Rifle is a Ruger 77. Orginally chambered in .300winmag. For the last fifteen years or so it's been a 30-338 wildcat. (.338 win mag necked down to .30cal.)

I've taken a few Blacktail and Mule deer with it, recent season it got me my first Whitetail. He's a 5x6. The scope is Leupold 4-12x40ao VX-II. I've sweetend-up the trigger to near match grade. Glass bedded, free floated. Shoots minute of angle with several different hand loads.

I either hunt with a bow or a handgun/contender. I quit using a rifle six years ago. I just wanted to put the fun back in deer hunting.

These are the two I use the most.

FrankT, It depends on where I'm at, whether I use pistol or rifle, but I too have taken 6 Blacktail with pistola here in Washington. It really puts the challenge back in hunting in the critter's own back yard.

Jeez, I've hunted with most of the long guns I own and some of the handguns. Here's my contender collection, primary handgun hunting system I use, though I like my Ruger Blackhawks and have hunted with the .357.

My M7 stainless in .308 is my favorite big game rifle. I'd have to get it out an take a pic, already have this one of my contender.

Below it is my Mossy. I'm a waterfowler, what I really, really love to do. I can get burned out on deer hunting mid season, but I have been in love with waterfowl since I was a kid. I also include a Javelina pic with a Rossi M971 I no longer have, but the one below it is a deer I shot on my place first year I owned the place and my grandpa's old .257 Roberts M722 Remington with which I killed my first buck at age 11. I've killed the majority of my whitetail with this gun even though I use the M7 mostly now days. It's a superb old rifle, very accurate and hits with authority.

I don't own a gun that has not been in the field. I even thought about taking my Browning A-500 out with buckshot last season, but chickened out and used the Marlin 336.

Rembrandt- nice looking Browning - is it a skeet choked set? A buddy was loaning me his 4-barrel Citori set up until recently. I grew to like the 28 gauge barrels. The .410 barrels felt like a cap gun!

Rembrandt- nice looking Browning - is it a skeet choked set?

It's a Belgium Browning Leige B-27(High Grade), only made for a couple of years prior to the introduction of Citori's and scew in choke tubes. All barrels are 12 gauge with different chokes, lengths, and rib widths.

Dakotasin: I'm partial to it also, thats a piece of exibition grade claro walnut. and I was pleased that it shoots as well as it looks:D First trip to the range produced 3 shot 100 yard groups of .296, .496, .538 (handloads) and with factory winchester 130 grain balistic silver tips, a .708, that was the largest group fired at 100 yards. First 4 shots fired at 200 yards went in just under 3/4",,,,,,,fifth shot made it a 2.279 group:D
