Inexpensive scope

Looking for a scope for my marlin 60, have one on there now but it is fixed 2.5 and I want a little more power.

We are talking a .22lr here and my bank account right now isn't exactly what we can call over flowing.

Looking on midway they have Simmons 22 mag scopes, 3-9x32 for 34.99 and I have heard decent things bout them but wanted to get opinions on other options.

In the same price range is tasco and bsa scope 3-9x40 and bushnell 3-9x32.

I'm not looking for the worlds best scope here, we are talking under 50 dollars to go ontop of a .22LR paper puncher.

I am leaning twoards the Simmons, but given these options what would yall pick?

3-9x40 will have more clarity at higher magnification. More light, you know?

I have a couple of BSA's now that I've bought primarily for rifles that I intended for some heavy-duty use and abuse.

They keep surprising me with how good and how durable they are.

I have a Tasco 3X9X 40mm on my 10/22 it's overkill but I like it. Now if I could just get these damn squirrels to ignore the door opening.

in that price range those are decent for 22 and the 3x9x40 would be the one I would suggest. You know You normally get what you pay for and I had a 40 dollar scope on my 22 for years and it worked fine. Maybe save a little more to the next range which is 60 - 80.

I have a Bushnell 3-9x40 that I keep meaning to mount on my Marlin 60, but I haven't found the right rings yet. I got it from J&G on sale. I tried to cheap out and go to Walmart for rings, but they're either too high or too low to mount it properly (without removing the rear sight). I need to get a large enough order from Midway together so I don't have to pay the "your order is too small" fee. :cuss:

after thinking it over I think Im going to go with the bushnell 3-9x32.

Tasco and Bushnell are the same company now, check out the Tasco World Class, don't buy their Pronghorn, it is bottom food. The main thing with scopes is to go to the counter, and look through them, side by side and compare them.....
