Hey any of you guys have pics of this years sheds. Here's a few I've found so far.
The first two pics are a 82-4/8" 5 point. With a total mass of 24-6/8".

This one is of a set I found three weeks apart. The right antler is 73" and the left is 68" because of the broken G2. The top is just another shot of the 82"er. The brow tine is 9-6/8".

I actually saw two young bucks still carrying antlers March 4 around the College Station (central TX) area. Have not found any sheds yet, have not looked hard either. What are your plans for those? I make pens, cabinet pulls and knobs, knife handles...nice find~

Z these are so nice I don't think I could cut them up for anything. I'll maybe make things out of smaller ones. Take care and good luck!

So you gonna tell us were you found those ??? Or are you going to keep that a secret until you tag him next bow season.
(Please don't tell me you found those at Fermi-"NO HUNTING"-Lab......)
That top one's gonna be a monster this year. And his cousin ain't gonna be nothing to sneeze at either.
It was a little to wet to hit the forest preserves this past weekend to hunt for sheds with the kids, but now is definitely that time of year.

I just tend to follow the deer trails in the woods. Don't look down at the trail. Look to the sides of the trail, but without really looking at the sides. You'll probably end up picking up a bunch of branches and sticks at first. But you gotta kinda look without staring or really looking. It's kinda a zen thing. If you look for them, you won't see them, but if you're not looking for them, they will jump out at you.
Most fun is when the kids find 'em..... :D :D :D

That's what I do too, but I've found them out in the open too.
Bill2k1 be prepared to walk many hours for each shed. This year I walked about 10hrs before finding my first, but I started back in January. A little early. Two weeks ago I found 4 sheds in about 3hrs time. Just the way it is.
Be careful though you can trip over those monsters and break a leg!!

I should talk my wife into going out in the woods and looking around some. I haven't looked for sheds since I was kid.

Here is a matched set I found last thursday. They were right on top of each other. :uhoh::what: They are from last year though with no chew marks and they measured 48" & 50". The brow tines are broken but they don't appear to have been very big though.;) :)

I found this set wednesday. No chew marks or broken tines. 65" with a mass of 20" on each. H1 is 5-4/8". They were 20' apart about 15-20 yards in from the edge of a corn field. It looks like he will be a droptine this fall.

Here's a few from the weekend. A 5 point 64" that has 4 tines with minor chew marks. It has nice mass with H1 being 5-2/8" with a total mass of 17-2/8". I found the 64" on saturday and the small 4 point in the middle of a field on the way back to my truck, it's from last year. I found the small 6 point skull on sunday with a chewed browtine from last fall. It looks like the coyotes ambushed him. The chewed 3 point I found on thursday.
My daughter broke her foot earlier this year so I haven't been able to take her out yet, but the cast is off and I think this weekend we will get to go do a little.
