I want to get a cheap musket for my grandfather to hang above his fireplace. Im in the 200-300 range but havent seen anything. I want to get a pre 1899 so i can have it ship to my house and save all the hassle of an FFL. Any suggestions?

Dixie Gun Works website has an extensive list of old style firearms to choose from, and by clicking on the "price" word above the list it will sort them by cost. The lowest priced longarms they have, either in percussion cap or flintlock variety are Lyman Deerstalkers and Hawken rifles. They run in the high $200 range, like say $275 to $300.
Barring that if all you want is a decoration and never shoot it, you can buy those as well. Just do a google search for "replica musket" and there will be plenty of websites that pop up and sell non-firing guns for about 150 to 200 dollars. With that you can buy everything from fake old matchlock guns to fake Russian RPGs can be bought like that. Some even have moving bolts and such, and even a few are capable of firing blank cartridges.

Here you go. Everything listed is $300, all are WAY pre-1899.:)
Pre-1899 Turkish Mausers, should be quite shootable, $299:

These guys want their prices, but they have some interesting stuff. Note the 1842 for double the price Middlesex wants for them. Maybe they're in better shape...
Note that it is not uncommon to find an original Trapdoor Springfield in usable condition, or even pretty nice looking, for $400 if you look hard enough. Looks good over the fireplace but also can be fun at the range now and again.
