Not strictly gun, but military related. How would i go about making a decent, bright triflare (lots and lots of light)

I would consider looking into one of the training manuals (TM31-210 comes to mind) I don't have it in front of me, but I seem to remember something related to your question.;)

M49 Trip Flare would work also. They are rather touchy to set up, though.

im interested in making one, seeing as i live in england and they are probably illigal here :D:D:D

any ideas? what could i use to burn in one?

Nadeen,

Based on the video in your first post in which you used a CO2 gun to launch a projectile in an urban area, even though you said "haha it didnt really hit a house.", and the tenor of some of your subsequent posts, I don't believe that I would feel comfortable in providing you with instructions on constructing anything much more dangerous than a penny whistle.
