Gun Nut
You are 93% of a gun nut!
You are a true gun nut. The number of guns in your house is probably over five. All of them are truly effective in your hands.

You are 86% of a gun nut!
You have excellent skills in weapons handling. I could definetly trust you to cover my back. Matter of fact, you're probably packing right now!
I missed some on the older guns, I'm sure.
Dionysusigma March 16, 2006, 10:42 PM I got 100%. :D
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
Although, it can be argued that what became the M-16 fired 7.62x51.
The AK, these days (thanks to the AK-74 and Saigas, and some other rifles too) can fire all three of those calibers. Just not from the same gun. :uhoh:
.40 can be less effective than 9mm. Especially if you miss. :D
Schmidt-Rubins are single shot if Azrael256 doesn't give you back the magazine. :cuss:
The M-16/ AR-15 can be disputed as having a bolt that is blown back by gas.
The M91/30 bayonet was never supposed to be removed.
The M1 was originally supposed to hold 10 rounds.
All states "allow" citizens to carry concealed without a license... and criminals, and non-citizens too. As long as they're not caught. ;)
Remember, the famous Desert Eagle. Not the first one, but the famous one. :neener:
I thought the SA80 couldn't fire. Ever.
And lastly, is the metal detector plugged in? ;D
kentucky_smith March 16, 2006, 10:45 PM how many parts are there to a GLOCK, and why does this matter?
K31 is not technically a Schmidt-Rubin.
VirgilCaine March 16, 2006, 11:24 PM I got 82%. But which ones did I get WRONG?!?
Logistics March 16, 2006, 11:27 PM I think I would go shooting alot more if she would happen to come with.....
Mooseman March 16, 2006, 11:33 PM I got 64%. I'd like to say that I'm surprised to find out I'm an idiot, but I'm not.:(
stevelyn March 16, 2006, 11:33 PM 93% Gun nut. Only thing I know about the SA-80 is that it's a POS and the only good thing about it are the surplus mags being imported.
MrTwigg March 16, 2006, 11:33 PM What have I learned from this ? Shooting is fun !
Average Grunt
You are 72% of a gun nut!
You've been trained in the art of the rifle. When you're handed a firearm, you can generally use it competently. The local firing range knows you on a first-name basis.

Got my turkey tag today. :D Gonna pattern the new Mossberg tomorrow.:D :D
mp510 March 16, 2006, 11:42 PM I did lousy- 86%.
sturmruger March 16, 2006, 11:51 PM Some of those questions were really hard!! I scored a lousy 65%
default March 16, 2006, 11:55 PM 93% here, I wish I knew which ones I got "wrong".
9mm vs. .40 - I picked "more effective", as this seems to be the common-sense answer - heavier, bigger diameter bullet, going as fast or faster...although I don't really care for the caliber and feel that 9mm is fine. Perhaps they were looking for "about the same"? Which, in a continuum from .22lr to 10mm is about right.
Desert Eagle. So what was it? I picked .357. Was it .44?
L85. I picked the one about the cocking handle. Is this wrong? In any case, who cares? The L85 is a neat-looking rifle but I'll take a FAMAS, AUG, or F2000 if I'm gonna have a bullpup poodle shooter.:D
.22lr rifle capacity. No idea.
The M16 operation question should have had "direct gas impingement" as an option. "Gas tube" seemed to be the closest concept, although the AK and SKS have "gas tubes" as well...but they contain a piston.
Fun test though. Thanks for posting. :)

You are 93% of a gun nut!
You are a true gun nut. The number of guns in your house is probably over five. All of them are truly effective in your hands.
I too would like the know which one(s) I missed.
Desert Eagle was originally designed for the .357 Mag.
The SA80 cocking handle would be against your cheak.
The Marlin 60 has a 14rnd tubular mag. The Savages and Ruger 10/22 have 10rnd mags.
The M16 operation was tricky. I too put gas tube or was it gas pistol. :D I agree they should have said "direct gas impengiment"
Glock has 34 parts
And what was with the metal detector question? It would detect the barrel and slide of the glock.
rangerruck March 17, 2006, 03:26 AM i got an 85. im a little dissapointed, any body go the answers they can post?

I wanted to email the dude and ask about the correct answers but it looks like a dating service behind a gun nut facade. And I get all the junk email I need right now...

loki.fish March 17, 2006, 04:28 PM 48% Better than I expected. I have much to learn. Most of you have probably been in the military and had fathers/grandfathers that took you hunting and stuff, atleast I can claim I'm a city that kind of stumbled into the gun world.

What, am I printing :what:
I too would like to see a list of my wrong answers. Not that I don't think I missed any, but how am I supposed to learn if I don't see what I missed!
PlayboyPenguin March 17, 2006, 05:43 PM These tests are always prejuidiced towards people who are into tactical or miltiary style weoponry. Just once I would like to see one more geared towards people that are revolver lovers or just lovers of handguns in general. Needless to say, I did not do too well. Only in the high 40's. :)
kentucky_smith March 17, 2006, 05:53 PM You can make your own.

aguyindallas March 17, 2006, 08:17 PM I just want to say this:
Its better to be a gun nut, than a nut with guns!
V4Vendetta March 18, 2006, 10:52 AM I'm a plinker!:what:  I scored 47%.:( :banghead:
Beetle Bailey March 20, 2006, 12:51 AM I got 96% also. But I just guessed on the questions about the SA-80 and the .22lr with the highest capacity out of the box. A lot of the questions were easy because I like milsurp rifles.
93%. Now where's my belt-fed.
Hey, you guys who got 100%, did you get anything better than a suppressed belt-fed?
Big Gay Al March 20, 2006, 10:26 AM Ok, so I scored 96%, I'd Like to know WHICH question I missed???
sterling180 March 20, 2006, 10:36 AM [URL="http://www.saddleryandgunroom.com/hushpower.htm"]
If you go to the above website, you will see a fully-suppressed Mossberg 12 guage pump-action shotgun, with other single-shot suppressed shotguns and also sub-sonic cartridges. Are these types of shotguns legal in the USA? and do people use them for hunting and pest-controlling.
Big Gay Al March 20, 2006, 10:42 AM Sound suppressors have a long history in Europe. It's considered being polite to your neighbors if you use a sound suppressor on your weapon when target shooting or hunting.
Here, if you have one, it's thought you mean to do something devious.
Silencers are NFA controlled items. I believe you can get a permit for them from ATF. But your state may have a law against owning one.
cosine March 20, 2006, 10:51 AM 62% gun nut. Looks like I still have a bit to learn.
JesseL March 20, 2006, 12:04 PM Hey, you guys who got 100%, did you get anything better than a suppressed belt-fed?
Nope. I'm curious what you get for all the lower score though.
DontBurnMyFlag March 20, 2006, 02:38 PM 93%
