Heading out to the gun range recently, I grabbed my Gladius Night-Ops flashlight from my desk and put it in my pocket in case I needed it when I unlocked the gate to the range. The light was in the locked position. As it happens, I didn't need to use the light. After my session at the range, as I'm driving, I feel something warm in my pocket. I pull out the Gladius--it was on. I couldn't shut it off, despite rotating the bezel and pushing the tail cap switch. I finally had to rotate it to back off from making battery contact. Unfortunately, I had to do this while driving since I was on the interstate at this point and couldn't safely pull over. I'm sure there were some puzzled motorists out there.

Needless to say, the Gladius doesn't leave home anymore unless it is in its Blade-Tech holster.

I have a friend who ordered a gladius, not sure what model, and the tailcap was defective. If you can repeat the problem, contact the mfr and they will stand behind their product. My friend received a new tailcap/switch assembly.
