Looking into my first AR 15 and thought that a piston POF rifle/upper would be a great intro. Well then I realized that for a basic rifle from them it would run me about 1450 pre tax/shipping/ffl charge. I'm willing to grab the upper at 850 and then play with lowers like a rock river but is it worth saving $200-300? I mean I personally have no experience with AR quality other than my readings on this website (and one bad experience with a friends armalite). So peoples of this great website, help me build my AR! I have enough cash to buy the complete rifle, or almost, but then could not get any accesories. Any reviews or comments about first hand experience with Patriot Ordnance AR's would be very much appreciated. Also advice on the quality and experiences of AR lowers from the usual RR, Colt, Bushy. general Advice on aquiring my first AR. Sorry if this is one of the same threads that all the moderators/senior members have to look at a million times a week from us "members". We can't help it, we get a thought into our head and have to talk about it. Ah yes to answer some basic info, my plan is for a 16 incher to shoot at the range for fun, to look cool with infront of people, to clean in my underwear with my mad bomber hat on at the kitchen table, and oh yeah for when the world goes ka boom....
