What is the largest diameter objective lens I can use with the included Tikka rings. I've read 40mm or less on some sites and up to 42mm in others. Does anyone here know for sure? Thanks.

It depends on which Tikka rings you are referring to. I have the Tikka "Opti-Loc" ring mounts on my Whitetail Hunter. With medium rings, and a 42mm objective, 30mm main tube, I have a 1/2" of room remaining between the rifles barrel, and the bell of the scope. I would think, I could go up to a 50mm objective, if I wanted to. A 1" tube will allow less clearance.

Thanks for your answer. You must have the European "medium" rings on your gun. I've temporarily mounted a cheap Bushnell 4x32 on mine and it has about 1/4 inch of clearance. I'd like to get a Leupold 6x42, if I knew it would fit with the included rings.

You must have the rings that are thrown in, when you buy a T3. I am not a big fan of those rings. You may want to consider the Tikka Opti-Loc ring mounts for 1" tubes. Or if budget is an issue, Warne steel "Maxima" makes a decent set of rings for your Tikka. If you get the Opti-Loc ring mounts, low will be good for a 42mm objective. If you get the Warne rings, medium would be the size to get. If you only have a 1/4" of space with a 32mm objective, than your going to have to buy new rings, cuz, a 42mm won't fit with the rings you have.
