Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I respect the members opinions on this site. Just wanted to ask if anyone had any personal experience with the Church of Scientology?

I ran across mention of this on an unrelated subject, and started reading some of the pro and con websites about scientology.

Personally, it seems disconnected from reality. Does anyone have any sites that explain what it is in plain english? Basic tenents (sp?) philosophy, goal, etc?
