Does anyone here live in or around Enfield, CT? I need some first hand experiences with ranges/gunstores/etc.

3rd rail, I'm in East Hampton and will be off next mon, tues, Fri and sat. We can meet at my club any of thoses days. If we go on saturday there will be some sort of shoot in the morning if you want to participate. They are alot of fun. If you just want to shoot the ranges are clear by the afternoon. PM me if you want to meet.

I'm in Bridgeport, so not very close by CT standards, but then again, it isn't that big of a state.

3rd rail, I'm off the weekend of the 1st of april. I work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule so I can meet up with people during the week on certain days also. Its been too cold so I just have been going to the shoots but as the weather warms up I'll be out more.

Well, right up the street, you have the S&W Shooting Sports Center. They have the nicest commercial range I have ever been on, a wide selection of rentals (all S&W's), and generally agreeable staff. (Bias Check: I used to work there)
Take 91N to 291E. Take the St. James Exit. Turn Right onto Paige Blvd. The store is on your right, about 300 yds past the exit. Look for the wrought iron fence.
If you are looking to do some shopping, The Newington Gun Exchange, and Hoffmans (also in Newington) are pretty good, and about 40 minutes away. I don't think there are any gun stores left in Enfield.
