Spent some time at the last gun show looking for a soft-side case for an AR-15, and one for a Beretta Storm. No problemo, right?

Wellsir, it seems that nobody ever figured anyone would ever actually like to get one of the magazines back out of the pocket, short of turning the case over and shaking it out. Mag pockets are not at all sized to the application. The only exception I saw was one spec-built for M1 Carbine, that had exactly the right mag pouches for the 15-shot mags. Since AR-15's prob'ly get hauled out to the range about 1.84 JILLION times more than carbines these days, why doesn't some manufacturer wise up?

On a lesser rant, is there anything tricksie out there for the Beretta Storm? Soft case, I mean.

I have an Allen case, and while it's not very good quality it sure was cheap and the mags do come out easily enough.

From what I've seen, cases are not purpose built to the firearm they say they're designed for. I have "AK-47" cases that have trouble with the curved mags, etc. They basically just build them to a common spec and change the overall length to fit different guns. Unless you put big money into cases, you're not likely to find one special built for your particular model. I have a bunch of different ones, and they don't seem to work right with any of the guns I commonly carry in them.
