Just looking for some user reviews before buying. Any problems with installing? How's the fit and finish? How are the rail covers working out for you, etc.?

my last department had M33s on the issued rifles. they worked good. the rubber covers stayed on too. didn't have to worry about them falling off. i'll probably buy a set for mine one day, but i'm not a fan of gadgets on my rifles. i just like the better grip you get from the bottom strip of rubber.

I actually had this handguard and didn't like it very much. I don't think anything is wrong with it except the chance of chipping it during installation.

I still have it in a box if you want to buy it... I'll give you a good deal :D

I had one on a full size rifle and it broke during some stenuous shooting drills.
I have another one on a 16" barrelled carbine and it is holding up so far.
My Trijicon Relex has maintained zero while installed, removed, and reinstalled on this handguard and it indexes correctly with the iron sights so I won't call these handguards bad.

I will replace the carbine forend with a Bushmaster BMAS, a Yankee Hill, or a SIIR, haven't decided which way I will go on this yet.

Almost forgot to suggest you buy one of the handguard tools when you buy your handguards.
I had to order one when I found out that these Samcos won't go on with hand force alone and have learned to appreciate the handguard tool for any other handguard install/removal.
This thing just makes life more bearable!

I second that on the hardguard removal tool!

Just put one on my CAR, and I really like it. It was a bi*ch to install without the above mentioned tool though. I got it on without any damage, and it fits good and tight. I have mounted a tac light on this rifle, and overall I think is is good for what I will be doing, which is not duty or mil service.. My first choice would be the Sure Fire fore end, but I don't want to spend that much on a rifle that only gets fired occasionally. May get one for the 20" rifle project too.
