Hello everyone. I haven't had a chance to check out the local gun shops in a while, because I have thrown out my back and I am unable to do much as far as leave the house. I have however been looking at buying a brand new CZ75b (chambered for 9mm), and I have come up with a wide range of prices online. I am just looking for the simple black polycoat verson, single action with saftey (no decocker). What would you guys say a average out the door price (tax, and all other fees) would be for a brand new cz-75b be? Hopefully in a week or two I can make it to the local shops and pick one up.

I'd expect to pay around $375 at a gun show in Houston, plus tax. I'd expect a gun store to be $50 to $100 higher.

There are a lot of 75B models, varying from the standard, plain vanilla 75B (fullsize) to the 75B SA, to nickel plated models, to various compact with and without decockers.

Anywhere from $375 - $450 for the base gun, with compacts, decocker models, and special finishes (because there are fewer made) running the prices up a bit.

If you can get one $400 out the door somewhere, its worth getting -- as you have helped a local dealer stay in business, and have a place to go if you have problems.

A base price of $350-$400 sounds right. Frankly, the gun is worth more than that.

In your post you mentiioned single action. You will probably find alot of the basic cz 75 at gun shops are da/sa, and are designated cz75b, the single action only are designated cz 75b sa. I bought a used cz 75b in Jan. $350, probably paid a bit too much, but it was worth it. Recently mounted the .22 conversion, more fun.:)

Ok thanks for the info.. When I said single action, I mend the DA/sa, not just straight single action, I forgot to add that :D. I figured right around 400$ would be a good price, hopefully I will be able to get one. This is what I don't understand. I was using davidsons gun locator to get some prices, and for a bare bones black poly coat da/sa, the best price I could find was:

Sale Price $431.19

Davidsons Inventory Addt'l Fees $57.45

Dealer Notes Tax $24.15

Thank you for this opportunity to provide you with pricing! Sub Total $512.79

(Less Deposit) ($127.25)

Balance $385.54

So they wanted 431.19 just for the pistol, and then whatever extra fees that ammount to 57.45 :uhoh: :scrutiny:, then tax. Bytime I would be done I would be at 512.79 :what:. I can understand the tax, but they don't say what the 57$ in fees ammount are for.

Now my favorite gun shop doesn't work with the gun locator, and are big on CZ pistols. As soon as my back is better I plan on going in and talking with them on a cash price, hopefully a hell of a lot better then 512$. Realistically I have about 430 just to spend on the pistol, and I don't want to go much higher then that. I have thought of the gunshow route, but it seems that gunshows in wisconsin are few and far between.

I know Budsgunshop has some on gunbroker.com for $377, add $25 for shipping and handling, plus FFL charge (mine charges $20 others are higher). That totals out at $423. You wouldn't have to pay the taxes since it's shipped from KY.

Not sure if that's an option for you or not but just thought I'd let you know.

Around here a CZ 75B Polycoat is usually about $450 +tax, I'm thinking of getting a CZ 75B-SA single action only and they quoted me $460 for it, but it has to be ordered, I always buy locally to support the small gunshops.

Greg,

I don't know how many Davidson's retailers you have in your area. Gunbroker is the best price I can find....but you can also check galleryofguns.com and look up the price for a retailer near you. It looks like you've done that. The only fees you should have to deal with are the gun price, tax and background check. If your local gun store is pushing shipping and handling off on you I'd go to another store.....

Your doing them a favor by giving them your business especially when you can easily get it online cheaper.....they should know that and if not you might want to point that fact out to them.
