There is a report out of Arizona involving Muslim students that says the FBI is investigating the possible violation of a law that prohibits the possession of firearms by non-immigrant aliens.

Apparently, they RENTED some handguns at a local firing range to use for target practice.

They'd better arrest every Japanese tourist that comes here, because best I can tell, the first thing they do when they get off the plane is go burn up 300 rolls of film taking pictures of themselves and their buddies shooting rented buzzguns.

Same thing here. I've had several friends from England over to visit, as soon as they learn I own guns the first thing they want to do is go shooting. Handguns are not enough, with the exception of my Father in Law, everyone that has came over from England has rented the MP-5 from the range. Cost means nothing to them, they want to shoot a gun, and the full auto's are even better! All they have ever been asked for is ID showing they are over 18.

I will third that.
We have several ranges in Las Vegas that have indoor ranges and rental subguns. At least one of them is in constant use all day, everyday. The lion's share of the rental time is by Japanese tourists. They love shooting and guns. This is very curious considering the restrictive gun laws they have in their home country.

I wonder what these "federal agents" were smoking. Sounds like there were just harassing these guys. Not only can aliens rent firearms, there are provisions that allow them to purchase firearms or bring firearms with them from their home country. Unless there is a local law preventing this, these folks did nothing illegal.

Legal aliens. Indeed, some states issue CCW licenses to legal aliens.
