Anyone own Magazines/ parts for guns they don't own

So I'm on my way to go look at trucks for my wife and I pass the old true value hardware. They are closing down and selling off Miscellaneous items. So I see a box labeled 7.62 X 39 magazines 15 dollars or 5 or more for $10 a piece.
Long story short, I know have 5 30 round AK type magazines. Chinese made still in the cosmoline, but no AK type rifle.
Anyone else do this?
Mike

Guilty, but then I work on firearms of all types and you never know when you might need that widget from a firearm long obsolete,,,,,
I am terrible about hoarding magazines and clips for weapons.
I have clips for Carcanos, Schmidt-Rubins, Mosins, and Enfields,
Magazines for FALs and all kinds of pistol magazines for guns I don't even own.
One never knows when one might find an exceptional example of a firearm and I hate being without spares!

I bought 10/22 magazines before I thought about getting one. It was when the claer factory anniversary 10 round mags came out. I thought they were cool so I bought two, then went to the store and bout a 10/22 a week later.
My brother had a 30-06 before I did and I saw some cheap 30-06 rounds so I thought I would get them for him and he could pay me back. Well I thought why not and bought a 30-06 a few days later.

The most significant gun part that I have is a prewar Colt ACE magazine in near perfect condition. Bought it thinking I would find an ACE and then didn't end up getting one. Have a few other magazines and a fair amount of ammunition for stuff that I don't own any more. It always seems that I make the full circle and get another one in that caliber.

I have a few piles of parts that could possibly make up a single complete Swede m38, but no way of putting them together if that counts... Everything else I have floating around should fit on something I have.
I also keep brass and used die sets for guns I dont have. Never know when I might find a deal on a gun in a diff caliber than I currently use. Dunno why I keep the .40SW brass though...no real desire for one.

Yes.
I used to have an S&W 915 and picked up as many magazines as I could during the ban years. When I sold it last year, I kept a few in case I ever got a Keltech P-11 or a Marlin Camp Carbine. I think I have eight of them.
Speaking of the ban years, I bought a couple of Browning HP-35 magazines - I wanted to be sure I would have some when I finally got a BHP, in case the ban didn't expire. Still haven't got a BHP.
I traded the S&W 915 (and most of its magazines) for a Sig Sauer P-226. I got some used factory magazines for the Sig. I sold the Sig in December, but still have the magazines. Come to think of it, I still have a Fobus holster (actually for a Sig Pro, but the 226 fit).

Yeah, I have done stuff like that before. I guess it is time for you to start looking for an AK variant. You should not let those magazines go to waste after all.

AF;
Most of my stuff's leftover's. But I have a fair amount of 'em. Anybody need a Leupold base for a Rem 700 .30-06 left action? Sold the gun before I changed out the base & ring set-up on it. Things like that catch me out all the time.

I think I have an extractor for a grendel p12. I needed one for a p10 but they got me the wrong one. Then there was the barrel for a mossberg I think it was with an adjustable choke. I used the choke for my nef pardner I cut to about 19 inches and didn't have a choke anymore. I also have a drum for an ak which I don't have but soon will. That should be fun.
