I have a cheap Paul Chen katana. No actual Japanese blades though. Maybe someday, but western stuff is what I'm more interested in.

I collect Japanese style swords. Sadly I only own 2 actual Nihonto at this point. One from the late 1800's and the other from the 1600's. The older one has been professionally polished and mounted. The newer is in need of mounts and polishing. Both are Katana. In addition to those I also have a Howard Clark L-6 Shobu style piece, a Howard Clark 1086 piece, a Rick Barrett Katana, and 2 Shobu's from Bugei\Chen. My most recent sword project is an old Bob Engnath Shobu style blade that is in process of being finished.

it's interesting to know that there are people here that have nihonto collections :)
i have a nbthk papered koto nagimaki, a couple gendaito (1 that needs fittings and a polish), a teruhiro gimei, a few odds and ends mumeis, and a lot of practice blades. i stopped collecting a few years ago because it was getting a wee bit expensive and lo and behold i discovered firearms last month ;) ooops. ;)

Too freaking expensive to get into the good stuff. I stick to weapons from other parts of the world - Phillipines, Indonesia, India, the Middle East.

I've got a nice little Edo Period waki and a couple of katana. I've also got a couple of Paul Chen and a Kris Cutlery katana.
I have a Louis Mills Tachi blade sitting in the safe as an investment.
I like Howard and Rick do very nice work. The'll probably be at Larry Harley's hammerin again this year.
