Having issues with my 22

My Buck Mark is having trouble feeding.

Every 4-6 rounds, the slide will just slip over rounds without catching one. It will also take several attempts to rechamber, or a removal of the magazine and a single attempt. Anyone know why this is, or what to do about it? Thanks

sounds like the mags or the mag catch.

Can you be more specific? It's a factory magazine, and the spring doesn't seem to be a problem.

from what you describe the round is not being pushed up enough to be stripped by the slide.
If the catch isn't grabbing the magazine at the proper height the round will stay low or if the magazine lips were squeezed somehow that would keep the rounds low.
Does it happen with all your magazines?
Only one? Possibly you dropped that one.

The first thing to do in that situation—always!—is clean the magazine. I recommend letting it stand in a jar of Hoppe's No. 9 overnight, then brushing it with a Nylon-bristled brush, then using lots of Q Tips on it.

Once the magazine is squeaky clean, you can determine the cause of the problem—if, in fact, you haven't just solved it.

AFS-

It is the only magazine I have. Rounds are HP's, but I shouldn't think that would cause a problem. It cycled fine a week ago, but I've cleaned it since then (it was really awful before). I don't think that could have done it. Would Hoppe's cause damage to the plastic parts of the magazine (since there appears to be no way to disassemble it)?

Thanks.
