Between Meprolite, Trijcon, Truglo and others I have forgot to mention... What is the best night site for pistols?

I can only relate to Meprolights and Trijicons~! To me, Meprolights
seem brighter; and I can see them on bright, sunny days. With
these 59 year old eyes, I can't say the same for Trijicon's. My
brand new Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special has Trijicon's~!:(

Well, the only one I can deal with is TruGlow. I put the trintium/fiber optic combo on my G19 and g21. They are very bright at night, and with the fiber optic system, the sights are extremely bright during the day.

Excellent choice if you ask me.

I prefer Heinie Straight Eights or Novak's if you like a 3-dot set up. My preferred set up is actually a blank Heinie rear with a tritium Heinie up front.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Meprolights on my Kimber. The only other I have to compare to was some old trijicons that weren't very bright.

I prefer the Heine str8's too. In fact I can't stand 3 dot sights. Too busy.
However the Meps on my Kimber dont really bother me. Weird
Consinder PT nights as well. Lots of Unusual setups from PT

Not familiar with PT's or Heinie's.... I realy am not tied to 3 dot sites so I would entertain other patterns. My concerns are Quick Target Acquisition and brightness in night as well as day.

Welllll, Back in my Day, we just scraped together a few bucks and got the ole Plutonium Sights from Ronco. Now these sights were bright, kind of like looking straight into the sun, mind you. Now, my friend asked to borrow that gun, and dang it, he had both retinas burned out. He likes his Seeing-Eye Mutt, though.

Now, I don't rightly remember where I got these sights. My memory just ain't what it used to be. Seems like there was this guy who sold em to me. He kind of had wild lookin' hair and giggled alot.

Seems to me that I don't remember having this giant growth on my nose before I got these sights, but hey, could be I'm just getting old. And my girlfriend says I been glowing at night, but she sees things, so we can discount that.

Anyway, on another gun, I use Meprolights on my P7 and they are great. I highly suggest them, and I think they are cheaper too.

Meprolights and PT. The Trigicons are OK, I just got a bad taste for them when the guns I did in the late 80s early 90s all went dead in 5 years and they would not replace the vials!

I have Mepros, but I think you could flip a quarter and be well served by either Mepros or Trijicons.

I have had several different brands on various guns. Meprolight, Trijicon, Novak, Heine, Sig Lite, Ashley, XS, PT, Hk, etc.

Of all I have owned, Meprolight and Sig Lite were the brightest. But, I believe that all gas tubes are are not created equally. I've seen sight sets from the same manufacturers of similar age with noticeably different levels of brightness.
You could take 3 brand new sets of any makers sights, look at them side by side in the dark and they might be different.

Have Ameriglo and Trijicon 3-dotters on two handguns. No complaints about them, but I tried a buddy's Heinie straight-8 equipped handgun and now I'm sold. Now I'm gathering funds to put Heinie straight eights on my entire handgun line.

I've had both Meprolights and Trijicons. Now I have only Meprolights, they are brighter.

I have a 12 year old set of Meprolights that are brighter than some new Trijicons I had.
