Browning Highpower Front Sight?

I've got a pre-MkIII Highpower that I've had since the late '80s. I'm interested in using it as a CCW gun, but that smallish, round front sight is hard to see. Paint doesn't seem to want to stick to it.

Does anybody have a reasonably priced solution? I don't want to pay the price of an Argentine Highpower to get a front sight installed.

Thanks.

It should cost too much to have a decent smith dovetail cut the slide and install a new sight.

I assume you meant "shouldn't".

What would you consider a reasonable price?

Cylinder and Slide wants somewhere between $150-250. It's kind of ambiguous, so I'd actually have to call or email them to find out.

Thanks.

Yes I meant should not cost too much. $135 seems pricey. Is there a local smith with a good rep around you?

There's somebody whom I trust to do the work, but unfortunately, he doesn't have access to a milling machine. He does work on the side, and very good work too.

I live in the Cleveland, OH area. I don't know anyone here with the required equipment whom I trust to do the work. That leaves name brand gunsmithing shops.

Thanks.
