Has anyone here had experience with these speedloaders? I've got a chance to buy some. What is a reasonable price for new condition. I understand the company went belly up.

I have several. They are quick on the reload but don't positively retain the rounds like HKS, SA, or SLV. Drop one and it will shed ammo. I only use them to load the gun with, my reloads are in Safari Arms Comp I or II.

...back in "The Day", the Dade's were the FASTEST speedloader available...this is before the advent of the spring-loaded Safariland Comp III's and the S.L. Variant, mind you...as Jim pointed out, NOT very secure...FWIW, my favorite speedloader carrier for real-world carry is one of theirs, made out of thin patent leather and using Velcro to keep the "tabs" that cover the speedloader in place...very "Racy" for 1970's technology....mikey357

Nobody I know of.
I got my one when Dillon was closing them out.

i used them extensively back in "the day" too. they were really the fastest speedloader out there until the safariland comp I came along.
but the dades still held the edge in their (the speedloaders') reloading. we used to carry our reloads (300 round match) on a plate with holes, cut in the pattern of the cylinder, to hold extra rounds. all you'd have to do is push the speedloader over the rounds and the spring would slip over the rims...all very fast. but...
not somthing you'd use for carry

Thumbs down for carry, guys? Seems to be the consensus.
OK.
What would y'all suggest as the best in terms of carry?

the dades are ok as long as you carry them in a covered carrier...not exactly ideal for CCW use, but ok for competition.
for the best combination of speed, security and ease of carry (assuming they make a model for your gun) i would recommend the safariland comp I (the comp II is just a bit bigger)
