Bought a revolver, that is!!!
Taurus M605 .357mag snubbie. I had one sometime back, but sold it to buy my lovely wife a Kel-Tec P32. Regret set in almost immediately. I finally had the means to replace it, so I went for it.
I took it out for it's first shooting Saturday. Didn't do all that bad, considering I had not shot a magnum snubbie in years!!
Please don't laugh!! It was shot double action at 10 yards using 158gr SJSP.
BTW, yes, the red stain is blood. It bit me on the third shot!!! :what:

Blood's ok. Pain lets you know you're alive. Good shootin'!
YOU have a new Taurus. Would you do me favor and take a CLOSE look at the ratchet teeth on the extractor star? With a magnifying glass, perhaps?
Check for:
Uneven, differently-shaped teeth, on both the lifting surface (That the hand pushes against to rotate the cylinder.) and the face. (The surface the hand slides over when it moves down to engage the next chamber as the trigger resets.)
Heavy burrs.
Uneven, inconsistent shiny wear-points made by contact with the hand.
Machine or tool marks that vary from tooth to tooth.
This is why I'm asking. (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9637)
Thanks for your help, if you can. Taurus CAN produce decent guns despite what some say. I need a snubby Mag too, so I'm glad yours seems to work well.

If you had bought two of them, would you have Tauruses or Taurui?
Sorry, it's 6:00 am, and my shifts about done. Time to go home.

I also owned a Taurus mod 605. I didn't like the size of the standard factory grip so got a replacement set of the same kind of grips off the model 85, which made the grip shorter and the gun easier to hide and handle. I didn't feel any appreciable recoil from the shorter grip either.

denfoote, instead of buying all these guns you need to see a doctor for an MRI scan on your brain. You've been acting way too weird the last few months!:what:
Buying revolvers and getting rid of your Glock?
