Ok, heres what I'm thinking. I have a standard Chinese SKS with a spike bayonet. I just purchased the tactical style stock pictured at the top from TAPCO. If you notice it has accessory mounting rails on the fore end. What do you think of the second picture as my choice for a scope(third pic is the 4choices of reticle patterns). What I'm looking for is not something to shoot in competitions or take down a gopher at 2000' yards, just a good powerful rifle for the day when I might have to face the aftermath of a Katrina or worse. Now this weapon wouldn't be my only option for home defense but it would definatly be my most high powered.(I also keep handy a 18.5" pump shotgun and a Springfield 1911 .45) Will this type of red dot scope stand up to the beating of an SKS. Will it provide me with any accuracy at all. I like the idea of the quick acquisition and the large field of view. Love to hear you thoughts.
