I'm thinging about getting a P95DC to add to my Ruger P97DC and I'm curious if the 10-round models can take the 15-round magazines currently available with the newer models.

Anyone know?

You should have no trouble at all with a 15 rnd magazine.
I have several for mine and got it before the ban was lifted.

P95 will also take P89 magazines.

IMO, this is one of the smart things Ruger did. Once they got a working magazine, they keep their new pistols compatible with it.

I use the 10 round factory mags and also the 17 round Mec-gar mags. Both work flawlessly.

i got one of the Ruger kp95dc and i like it alot. i have put 200 rds through it so far and i have had no problems at all. it took me about 20 rds to get used to it because it is totally different from my xd in many aspects, but it was putting them right where i wanted them. after the first 20 rds.

slow fire headshots 50 out of 50
rapid fire to center mass 48 out of 50
nice little clusters on both of them. especially the headshots
that was at 10 meters using the e-type military shillouete.

mine came with 10rd mags and i ordered two 15rd mags and they are excellent so far as i could see at the first range session. the da trigger is a little much but the sa isn't all that bad, it does have alot of let up but I'll get used to it over time. Nice pistol overall and they look alot better than the old p95's i think. i like the ss and black look!

In addition to some after market 15's, I have a 20 round and a 30 round mag.

Both work flawlessly in my P95DC.

If you've been to the Ruger forum you've probably seen the advice to install 19 lb Wolff hammer springs.....it really smooths out the trigger pull.

yeah as soon as i get back home in route to ft.stewart i am gonna make a stop in at home to my gunsmith and let him slick it up a little bit.i have seen his work on other ruger p95's and i was impressed i don't know what it is that he does but it is much better when he's through.

Generally speaking, the magazine, not the gun, determines capacity.

There isn't one model of P-95 for 10 round states and one for the others.

They just change magazines to limit capacity.
