Among the smaller semi-autos, I really like the Beretta 84 Cheetah in .380. It is a nice little pistol, very comfortable (to me), reliable, accurate, virtually no recoil so followup is easy.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I really like my S&W 638 in a pocket holster myself.

Bersa .380.
That's as small as I would go.

+1 on the Bersa. Great little guns for the money.

Why mess with a .380 when you can get a 9mm the same size? You can even get a .40 that's no bigger than a lot of .380s. If you like the glock try the M26/27. They're pretty small and light. I like my Kel Tec P11 a lot. The Kahr is a good choice. There's the Taurus Millennium. Lots of choices in compact, light weight 9s. IMHO, no reason to choose .380 over a 9 unless you want a really compact weapon like the P-3AT Kel Tec or NAA Guardian or the like. I'll take a +P 9 or a .40 over the .380 about every time IWB.;)
You might also consider a J frame .38 or .357 magnum. In .357, my favorite is the 3" SP101, very compact yet heavy enough to be comfortable with heavy SD loads and you can't break the thing with hot loads.

If you want something for pants pocket carry, then I suggest a .38 special small frame airweight revolver. The Smith & Wesson Model 642 is hard to beat.

glock 26/27 has too small of a grip (that is why i bought a 19) and i can not hit the broad side of a barn with my mom's .38 air weight. thank you for all the now i just need to do some shooting ad figure out how to convince my wife that i "need" a new gun, my 19 is only three weeks old

I'd just get a lightweight vest to wear over your Glock 19. You don't have to con(vince) the wife of that expense and it'll cost you a lot less on both sides (marital and financial). I wear a vest and it's not all that much hotter because you're gonna be sweating a bit anyway.
Another option is a darker colored Guidewear shirt from Cabellas. They're a lightweight, SPF 40 shirt that wicks the moisture off of you, is very well vented, has plenty of pockets and is actually supposed to feel cooler than going bareback in the heat. I can't vouch for the last part as I have yet to give it a serious test-drive but they're definitely not uncomforatable to wear at all. Just put it on over a t-shirt or wifebeater. Be sure to get a darker one though as my bright orange one is semi-transparent when right up against my body.

the 19 is a little hard to conceel in my summer clothes:confused:
I carried a G19 for years here and didn't have any problem concealing it. The G19 is one of the best guns to CCW IMO.

Look at the Kel-tec P11 (9mm). I use mine as primary in the summer.

I carry a PPK/S a great deal of the time. Nice pocket pistol.

Some recommendations:
- Stick with the G19 and adapt your clothing and style to fit.
- Kahr CW9 or Kahr P9
- Walther PPK/S .380
- Bersa .380
- S&W 642 .38special

Maybe wait a little bit and see how the new Kel-Tec PF-9 is once they ship? The P-11 and P3AT have loyal followings here. If the PF-9 is the 9mm P3AT everyone is hoping for I'll be hard pressed not pick one up myself for ultra light, ultra small carry. Slightly taller, yet also slightly thinner and lighter than a Rohrbaugh at 1/4 to 1/3 price...plus an extra round in each mag and no pretty carbon fiber grips to scratch up. Sounds like a winner to me if they're as reliable as the P-11. Otherwise Glock 26 for continuity with the 19 you already own; Glock 27 or 36 if you want to step up the size of the pill in a small package.

I'd just get a lightweight vest to wear over your Glock 19.
Not sure where he lives, but in near 100 degree heat mid summer in south Texas with the humidity about as high as the temps, I can't even wear a light vest comfortably. :banghead: I carry either a Taurus M85UL revolver or Kel Tec 9mm P11 depending on mood, but I shoot those guns very well, don't have a problem with it. It does take some effort to learn how to negotiate small guns and the DA trigger, but it's possible. I've even fired the P11 a couple of times in IDPA and did pretty well in the service gun class. I can mow down six inch plates at 25 yards pretty impressively with that gun. It's tiny, yet off sandbags at 25 yards it groups into 3.5", which thoroughly amazes me.
However, if you have a problem with J frame revolvers, you ain't gonna like the DA on most of the little DAO autos like the Kel Tec. You might consider a Colt Commander sized SA gun and learn to carry SA. That's the go to gun for guys that won't spend the effort to learn how to shoot DA. The commander is quite flat, a lightweight commander (aluminum frame) won't weigh you belt down too bad, the grip is a full grip and prints very little due to it's thinness (single stack). You'd have to shoot .45ACP, but hey, it's a good cartridge.
OR, you might look into a Glock 36, single stack .45. That thing is pretty flat, too, and has pretty much a full length grip. It's built for concealment.
Just some thoughts on the subject. I know what works for me, just trying to figure some angles for you. Try the Kahr you mention, too. For a DAO, it has a pretty light trigger. I think it's too light, but you might like it.

I have a Kahr PM9 and I'm really happy with it. Nice and small. Light to boot.
To second a lot of thoughts above, I do find myself carrying the 340PD most frequently with the Speer 135gr 38+P short barrel loads.
I shot a few 357 mags out of it and...erm...yeah...whew...let's not try that again...
The blast and kick of 357 mags out of a 340PD is enough to make Holy Terror itself get up and run...
