Picked up a bone stock Defender the other day and feel the need to accessorize. pistol grip rear stock is out, shot one once don't need to do it again.
I'd like to add a barrel shroud, don't know why except for the 'cool' factor. I've found them (on the net & in catalogs) made from steel & fiberglass, aftermarket and genuine Mossberg.
Also saw pistol grip forends; useful or not?
Tritium front sight would be a nice addition too but do not see Mossberg listed at either Ashley or Trijicon. Ghost ring sights are OK but sell for more than I want to spend.
Opinions please?

There are precious few accessories for the Mossy, though I don't know why. I would warn you against the barrel shroud as it precludes the use of some light fixtures.

If you want a light on the fore-end, look into the CORE system in the links section. Pretty neat idea.

Also look into www.vangcomp.com to see what he offers. Everyone raves about his work, but I haven't checked in awhile.

I've heard of a Mossberg Persuader and a Winchester Defender but not the Mossberg Defender.

I've had both... I like my Winchester Defender better, but only by a slim margin. Mostly because the action is smoother and it's 2" shorter. I'd be happy with either... or both ;)

May I suggest a SpeedFeed stock as a great upgrade for a SD or HD shotgun...
