I have several Dan Wesson barrels. A couple have the white insert on the front sight. The other ones have the red/orange insert in the front sight.
I would like to swap a couple of the inserts, but I cannot figure how to do it without damaging the insert.
I have talked to about everyone that I know, but no one has ever removed one.:banghead: .
Anyone ever changed one? If so what is the proper way of changing them?
Any info would be appreciated.

Johnny,
As long as the barrels you have are not compensated barrels, it is really simple. When you look at the muzzle of the barrel shroud, you will notice a small hole in the vent rib. Stick the really small allen wrench on your barrel tool in this hole to engage the tiny allen screw inside. Back the screw out and the site blade will lift out. Tighten the allen screw again and you are ready to fire.

Also, at one time at least Dan Wesson also offered blades with a yellow insert. Millett may also offer replacement metal blades for the sight, too.
