What is the difference between the Taurus 617CHSS2 (http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=617CHSS2&category=Revolver) and the Taurus 617CHSS2C (http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=617CHSS2C&category=Revolver)? Both guns look identical and the specs look identical. If there is a difference, I can't spot it.

The difference is $15. :D

The Taurus website appears to have a typo. The model with the C means compensated, hence the $15 increase in MSRP. The stats for the non C model shouldn't say that it has porting done.

Thanks. I almost ordered the wrong one ... definitely don't like ports on an up-close and personal weapon.
