Title sezitall. I've read up on the detailed posts on why the gen-yoo-ine Colt models are "best" (or at least guaranteed to be "right" with that, "feed cuts" and other things), but there seems to be little info on this question, even from Mfgrs' web sites...

I have specific interests in answers for (and STREET prices on!) the S&W M&P version, the various parts sellers' kits, and the one that Ayoob got hooked up with...sorry, I'll edit to add that name when I get it again...:o

Front sight bases for flattops will be marked with an "F".

My Stag M4gery upper came with an F-marked sight tower.

ARFCOM has detailed pictures of what too look for when shopping for "M4" feedramps.

I've read that they're only really useful for automatic fire, and really don't make a difference for us without class III permits. :)

Since the S&W is made by Stag it should have the correct F marked sight tower. Ayoob hooked up with Sabre Defence and they also have the correct tower.
