Guys,
Looking for a pump shotgun for the bedroom and possibly to use for slug hunting some.

Want something with sites one it. Two that come to mind are the 590 and the Nova. Nova is a bit more PC than the 590. However, the 590 is pretty slick also!

Do any other pumps come with sites in a set up that would fit home/slug use?
Seems like the Tac Remy stuff are all just bead guns.

Thanks!

I bought a 590 w/ ghost ring sights and 8+1 shell capacity. Nice shotgun, perhaps not as nice as an 870 but still a great platform.

Have you looked into the FN Police Shotgun? They can be bought new with slug sights for under $300. Their actions are similar to the Winchester 1300.

My 870P (police) came with rifle sights.

Nitesite, thanks for the FN mention. Really leaning toward the Rem, or 590. I'm just afraid that the FN might go away in a few years, as may the Nova. There will be 870's and 590's though and if not there will be enough on the market for people to still support them.

Chris, thanks for the help on the Rem. I just had to go to their "police" site. Don't know why they wouldn't just show it on the regular site.

Remington also make several "Deer guns" with smooth bores and rifle sights.

These are available in wood or synthetic.

However, the best defense pump gun in the world is the Remington 870P Police model.
These cost more, and are a little harder to get, but they're the best.

I think it's a great rendition of the 870, ohen, and glad if it tickles your fancy. I don't think one can go wrong with the police magnum.
