Oh wise and expert CZ-aholics of THR,

I went to the local dealer yesterday, and he's got a CZ 100 in now. I, of course, had to fondle it. It was very slim, light, and had easy to use controls that were very well placed. It handled great and I really liked it -- until I pulled the trigger. It was long and smooth DAO, just very loooooonnnng pull length. It was literally the only thing I couldn't deal with on the pistol. The split trigger guard is weird and kinda ugly; but its only cosmetic and doesn't affect function. Are there are other versions with more friendly triggers? I'd probably buy one if I could get one with a much shorter trigger pull. The grip and controls were set up as if the designer had tailored the pistol to my hand, but then sadistically put that trigger in it to spite me. Please tell me there is a version available with a better trigger or a low cost easy install part/ mod to significantly improve the existing trigger...please...please...

The CZ-110, but they have no plans to import those.

beg and plead with CZ-USA to bring the CZ-110 to the USA.

you might be able to find one in Canada. How you get it in the USA is your business.

The CZ-110 is the same thing with a DA/SA trigger. Not imported to the Land 'o the Free.

I've got one and love it. Yes, it is a long DAO pull, but I've smoothed mine with just some 1500 grit sandpaper applied to the proper parts; see the CZ100 forum at the CZ Forum (http://p201.ezboard.com/bczechpistols82792). I think the long DAO actually makes it a better CCW gun, as you're not likely to ever discharge the pistol accidentally. As you've noted, the ergonomics are fantastic and I find it to very accurate and the long pull actually helps me concentrate more on my shooting form. Mine is a 9mm and it's one of my favorite CZs and I have many!

All I can say is there are several CZ firearms that are non-importable due to the "wisdom" of GCA 68, including the CZ110, and the sleek CZ122, that I can only hope begin manufacture at CZ's new firearms plant, known as Dan Wesson...

I had one. Liked it alot. It was incredibly accurate. Reliable too. The trigger was a problem, but that can be mastered. I found that, while I liked it, I didn't like it enough to take it to the range very much, so I traded it on a revolver I wanted. I thought the loaded chamber indicator was kind of neat. You can see it sticking out the side of the gun when you have the have sight acquisition, but it doesn't interfere with the sighting. Don't have much use for it, but thought it was neat. Did you notice the metal strip inside the mag well that has the word GUN stamped out of it? Not much metal in that frame. I guess they wanted to make sure it was identifiable on X-ray.
