Description:
Well it done good and i am pleasently pleased with my new concealded carry pistol. my k40 has the black diamond finish over stainless, it has 2 mags and the capacity is 6+1.It is in doa only and has no external safeties i carry it in a don hume leathr paddle holster that is also very very comfortable.

Ammo used:
Today i took to the range with me the k40 and 250rds of various ammo, blazer brass, winchester 165gr fmj, 100rds of reloads, and various hp ammo, from federal hydrashocks, golddots, pmc starfires, hornaday xtp's, 180gr winchester jhp. I did not have a single malfunction or issue. the federal hydra's felt like they did the best for me. the recoil of te khar wasn't bad at all but did have some snap to it, it was harder to control than the xd, but after a while of practice i was hitting good in even rapid sucssesion.

Accuracy:
From standing at 10 meters shooting at a e-type shillouete i put all the rounds in the 5 zone each time the trigger was pulled, then i went up and performed headshots which made a nice little cluster right between the eyes. i did not mean to shoot all the ammo i took out but it felt so good that i just kept going till i was empty.especially after all the defenseive drills and rapid fireand etc.

Trigger pull:
I really like the trigger pull, it is something to get used to but it is very much smoother than almost any DOA pistol i have ever shot, it feels kinda like a revolver trigger, it breaks clean and was easy to reset, it did well for me and i can't wait to get even more improved with it.

Conclusion:
To be a small gun it dosen't feel small, the steel frame balances it out well, and the houge ruber palm swells really fills up my hand and makes it an absolute perfect fit. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a good ccw, the are small easy to carry comfortable on your hip and pack a great punch, and are accurate to boot. it could possibly knock the xd off the top of the list as my favorite, but we will have to see and do some side by side comparisons at the range, but I know i like it, it serves a different purpose than the xd but they are both great for what they are intended for. the k40 is my ccw and i am very pleased.
