Never give up the lawnmower. Lawnmowing is a man's sanctuary where noone will bug him, there are no screaming kids, its just a place where its just a man and his machine and his uninterrupted thoughts. My wife has noticed but has never figured out why I have a big smile on my face when I'm mowing the lawn.:D

Nothing wrong with buying a second AK;)

cracked butt: ever had to mow a lawn in the arizona summer? :D
dawgtraxx: my ex hated my AK. she was moderately ok with me owning guns, even accepting that i carried them (although she often ridiculed them as "unneccessary"). she could not understand the reasoning behind owning an AK . you definitely got lucky.

Good job on the AK, now just try to justify buying a new one. :p

My wife has noticed but has never figured out why I have a big smile on my face when I'm mowing the lawn.Tell that to the 2nd grader that lives next door. He would always come over to bug me while I'm in the middle of cutting the grass since his mom wont let him go swimming in their pool without an adult (I'm the second-youngest adult on the block), and she doesnt want to sit on the pooldeck from 9am until 4pm on the weekends. He'd always run up to me barefoot while I was wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, and concentrating on pushing the mower around, so I never noticed him until he was ~5' away or he tapped me on the back. :what:
I finally had to tell the kid the doc said I wasnt allowed to go swimming (I have a bad rotator cuff and cant swim well, but can still do it) and that slowed the requests down to only when he saw me getting into or out of my truck. :scrutiny:
That boy just ain't right.

He's not bugging you, he's probably looking for attention/mentor...Parents probably ignore him...

The same thing happened to me when my long-time girlfriend shot my AK. It was the first long gun (well, not counting bb guns when she was kid) she'd fired and she immediately fell head over heels for it.
Of course, a few days later she went ten for ten shooting skeet with a 20ga and I started to wonder if I wasn't being hustled...

Mike: I would have offered him the same deal, but the contractor with the cement truck is already scheduled to arrive Tuesday. =)
