Hi all,
I bought a Benelli Super 90 M1 Tactical, used. No functioning problems so far, but should I get a pump shotgun "just in case"?

A good pump, Mark, is a great shotgun to have. But....
Break in your Benelli with a few hundred rounds of whatever. Then, shoot 200 rounds of your ammo of choice. If there's NO glitches, stay with the Benelli. If there's even one not explained by bad ammo, sell it and pick up a couple 870s, which will last longer than we will and are as reliable aa anything made by humans.
We did a thread not long ago about reliability that may be of use called "Serious" Shotgun Reliability Criteria...

Keep the M1S90 and get a Winchester 1300 as a second.:D I was at the range last Thursday and saw an 870 tie itself up at the traps. Any gun can fail.:uhoh:

It never hurts to have a spare shotgun when you go afield--especially if you are travelling a fair distance. I dove hunt down in Alabama each year, and while my 1100 has always been reliable, I still take along extra O-rings and a spare 870 just in case.
